We would like to welcome Zidong Wang as a Graduate Engineer to the HDS Australia team!
Zidong recently completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Architectural) (Honours) degree at the end of 2019. His honours research project was about modelling and optimisation of accessibility, where his key contribution was in the development of a novel model for 'accessibility' (accessibility is regarded as being how easy it is to get from one location to other locations of interest, and is closely related to transport and land use planning).
For his year 12 research projects he investigated the self-elected topic of "how the design of intersections affects traffic flow", the research involved a lot of traffic data collection.
During the 2018/2019 Christmas break Zidong did work experience as a traffic engineer for 3 months in Tasmania where his key roles included traffic surveys, site inspections and producing reports (such as traffic impact assessments) for various developers and state/local government authorities.
HDS Australia is looking forward to watching Zidong strengthen his skills achieved at University within an already strong team.
We welcome Zidong to the Adelaide office and look forward to his contribution in delivering quality outcomes for our clients.
