We are delighted to announce that Tim Viner-Smith has returned to HDS Australia after two and half years travelling throughout Europe and working in the UK. During that period, Tim has gained valuable international experience and insight through his work with AECOM and Jacobs. This additional perspective complements his broad experience of Australian infrastructure developed in his first stint at HDS Australia.
In 2016 Tim worked in the AECOM London office traffic team on the London Borough of Southwark framework. He focused on cycling projects, including developing concepts for several of the Quietways projects and the Southwark Spine. His main project was the outline design of the ‘Southwark Spine’ cycling route which was jointly funded by the borough and Transport for London. The route is a north-south corridor throughout the borough which aims to complement the existing cycle network and provide safe quiet options for local trips, particularly for families.
In the early part of 2017 Tim worked for Jacobs in the central London office with a focus on traffic engineering, early concept design and funding bids.
Tim’s return as Senior Traffic and Transport Engineer will further advance HDS Australia’s technical capabilities particularly in the areas of road design, transport planning, road safety auditing and heavy vehicle route assessment.
Welcome back Tim.
