On 10 July 2014 Hugh Dixon, Senior Traffic Engineer in HDS Australia's Victorian Office, attended the first of a series of five seminars on Disruptive Technologies organised by Engineers Australia. The seminars are being presented by Dr Wolfgang Spinnler from McKinsey & Company. The first seminar was called Disruption Ahead - The Next 10 Years Synopsis.

The Water Industry Alliance has hosted the successful launch of smart specialisation cluster, WaRDA, Wastewater for Regional and Decentralised Applications. HDS Australia is a member of the Leadership Group of WaRDA and Duncan Howie, Engineering Manager at HDS Australia, was asked to present a brief background to the formation, objectives and benefits of the cluster group, as part of the launch.
