AITPM Adapting Streetscapes for Communities Seminar

Hugh Dixon, Senior Traffic Engineer in HDS Australia's Victorian Office, attended an Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management (AITPM) seminar on “Adapting Streetscapes for Communities”. Topics covered during the seminar included local street design guidelines, how driverless cars might transform demand for transport and ‘pocket parks’.

Ashley Street Bicycle Path construction complete

Construction has recently been completed for a new bicycle path along Ashley Street in Braybrook, Victoria. The new path forms part of Melbourne’s Principal Bicycle Network and links to an existing shared path running along the north side of the Sydenham railway corridor. HDS Australia designed and documented the project for Maribyrnong City Council. A further 600 metres of new bicycle path, which was also designed and documented by HDS Australia, will be constructed next year.

Truro Rising Main installation complete

The installation of a new 8.3km rising main between Stockwell and Truro has recently been completed. The next key stages of the project will be the commissioning of the rising main system and installation of the residential property connections.

The second round of National Stronger Regions Fund (NSRF) grant applications is now open. HDS Australia is available to assist in the preparation of grant applications for this program, particularly for projects that are related to road or community wastewater infrastructure.
